Patrick Henry (1736-1799)

Patrick Henry was a prominent figure in the American Revolutionary War and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He is best known for his fiery speeches advocating for independence from British rule, famously declaring "Give me liberty, or give me death!" in a speech to the Virginia Convention in 1775. Henry was a skilled orator and his passionate rhetoric inspired many to join the fight for independence. He served as the first governor of Virginia and later as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Henry's contributions to the American Revolution and his commitment to the cause of liberty have cemented his legacy as a key figure in American history.
