This type of delicious Chinese green tea is centuries old. Rolled to protect the quality of the tea leaves and preserve freshness, this green tea delivers a full-bodied cup with occasional smoky notes and a lingering citrus flavor. Mixed with fresh mint leaves, this is special treat! Gunpowder teas get their name from the nugget-like appearance of the rolled green leaves that collectively resemble a store of gunpowder.

During the Revolutionary War, France supplied the bulk of gunpowder to the continental forces in support of our war against England in addition to captured British supplies.
